Is it odd that we are legitimately excited to offer our favourite kitchen linen from the very special Québec-based Maison Lorrain? We love a little custom French watercolour on the daily and we know you will too, starting with these 3 beautiful summertime patterns. Check back - we'll be adding new seasonal patterns from this true staple of our kitchens, dining tables and summertime backyards.
Ginette Lorrain worked as a stylist with some of Québec's most renowned chefs and hosted her own televised wedding show where table design was the star for seven years - plus she is a well-known interior designer. Basically, the woman has exquisite taste and we love everything about her. (Move over Martha, your cool French-Canadian friend is in town.)
Paper placemats may be new to you, but we have loved and used them for years, especially when:
You have more people sitting down to dine than placemats owned and don't want the formality of a tablecloth
You don't want to launder / iron (omg!) said tablecloth
You need fun, change or seasonal freshness!
We use these outside during summer months not only for their obvious charm, but also for the easy clean up they provide. Please be sure to add to your paper recycling when done. Grab the coordinating cotton tea towels as an accent in your champagne bucket, bread basket or on a tray - or as luxurious, oversized napkins.
